Eastern Cape Game Reserves

“Very Enjoyable”

Staying here for 2 nights and having 4 game drives was a great experience. There are 2 game drives each day, one at 6am and one at 4pm each one lasts 3 to 3 and a half hours. It covers a very large area and the animals are all free to roam so it’s down to luck what you get to see.The tents are fine with nice comfy beds. Food was good, breakfast, lunch and dinner provided together with drinks. Staff were lovely, all very pleasant and eager to please. Would stay again.

“Absolutely amazing!”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Amakhala. We were lucky enough to see lion, cheetah, rhino, elephant, bufallo plus various birds and antelope. Melumzi was a fantastic guide; full of knowledge and information. Morning coffee and evening sundowners in the middle of the park was brilliant!
The tented camp is lovely. Big, comfortable beds with incredible views of the reserve from your own little balcony during the day and the best star gazing on a night. Lunch also has a perfect view.
Can’t wait to return!

“Lovely people and great food!”

A lovely place and a slightly more reasonably priced way to spend time in such a well looked after game reserve.
People were lovely, food was great and the drives spectacular. The turndown service and fresh cold water in the rooms is a nice touch and the assistance when smaller members of wildlife get a little close was very good too!
The deck at the main building is a very good vantage point for early morning wildlife spotting and the bright yellow orioles in the bushes are a stunning flash of colour.

“Amakhala Tented Stay”

We stayed here for two nights on our honeymoon in July. It is a fabulous place. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Food and drink was excellent and the views are just stunning. The game drives are an amazing experience and the guides are so friendly and knowledgeable. They cannot do enough for you. As for the animals, its a wonderful experience to see them so close in their natural world, jaw-dropping sights! Thanks to all the staff for a fantastic stay! Hope to visit again someday.
