Gorah Elephant Camp: Where Untamed Africa Meets Timeless Luxury
Step into a world where five-star elegance meets raw African wilderness.
Nestled in the heart of the legendary Addo Elephant National Park—home to the densest population of elephants on Earth—Gorah Elephant Camp is a sanctuary like no other.
As the only private concession and camp within the park, Gorah offers an intimate front-row seat to nature’s grandest spectacle.
At its heart lies a stately colonial manor house, poised above a bustling waterhole where elephants and other wildlife gather daily—a living postcard of Africa’s beauty. Here, the safari experience begins not with a vehicle, but with the view from your veranda.
Under the shelter of thatched canopies, eleven luxurious suites blend seamlessly into the natural surroundings, offering refined comfort, old-world charm, and uninterrupted peace.
Once home to just 11 elephants, Addo is now a conservation triumph, sheltering over 450 of these gentle giants.
It’s a place where Africa’s largest land mammal takes center stage—yet it’s only part of the story.
At Gorah, the drama of the Big 5 unfolds across endless vistas, echoing the spirit of a bygone era of explorers and pioneers.
Winters invite fireside storytelling in the grand lounge, while summers are best spent drifting between the cool waters of the pool and the warmth of the African sun.
Whether you're chasing adventure or seeking quiet elegance, Gorah Elephant Camp is not just a safari—it’s an unforgettable journey into Africa’s soul.
