Shamwari Long Lee Manor is a reminder of gracious living in a bygone era. Standing proud, this beautifully restored Edwardian Manor, originally built in 1910, offers its guests refined comfort, superb service and a truly rewarding safari experience.

Delectable meals are served in the dining room or outdoors, at the boma and around a blazing fire.

One large rimflow pool, a beautifully appointed garden, lounge and world-class spa offer a relaxing retreat between morning and evening game drives. Other activities include guided nature walks, birdwatching and afternoon sundowners and snacks in the bush.

Activities

We offer a morning safari as well as an evening safari with knowledgeable and passionate-about-wildlife guides. While on safari, take in the beautiful landscape views, the plant, bird and wildlife scenes that you will experience on the way.

See birds of prey or spot one or more of the Big 5 from the comfort and safety of your open game vehicle. After enjoying the safari, return to the lodge for an enjoyable breakfast or dinner. There is great game viewing in modern open game viewing vehicles that have been especially converted to maximise comfort and viewing potential.

Guests have a personal game ranger who will provide insightful and valuable information about the fauna and flora. Guided walks can often be the highlight of an African trip, for it is only then that visitors gain a true perspective of the nature and wildlife around them. These walks may only be carried out by specially trained and qualified game rangers.
